Undergraduate Student Orientation

Student orientation is a great opportunity for you to learn about AUM’s programs, services, traditions, register for classes, and connect with your fellow classmates.

At orientation you can —

  • Register for classes
  • Learn about our academic support services
  • Learn how to get involved with our campus life
  • Participate in a campus tour
  • Meet students who will assist you in beginning your college experience

A valid government-issued ID is required for check-in. You will not be able to check-in or register for your classes without a valid government-issued ID.

  • First-time students
  • Freshman transfer students
  • Transfer students

Who is not required to attend orientation?

  • Dual-enrollment students
  • Transient students
  • Second undergrad students

Spring Orientation Dates – Available Now

  • Saturday, December 5
  • Friday, January 8
  • International Orientation – Wednesday, January 6 – Friday, January 8 – International Students have a three day orientation beginning on Wednesday and running through Friday.  International students are required to attend all three days. Your registration confirms you for the three day event.

Reserve your date here:  Start the Orientation Registration Process Now!  You will need the your student ID number (begins with S) that was on your acceptance letter.

  1. Using the S Number and AUM email address that were provided to you in your acceptance letter, login to MyAUM (https://my.aum.edu)
  2. Once logged int, visit the New Student Page. Here you’ll see lots of details about orientation, including a “Click Here to Register” link.
  3. Select the “Click Here to Register” link, fill out the required fields, and look for your confirmation.
  4. After you register, be sure to regularly check your AUM.edu email address as it is the official method of communication from the university.

International Student Orientation is designed to assist you with your transition to the U.S. You will learn about academics in the United States, hear from professors, meet fellow students and administrators, and take a tour of the campus and its host city, Montgomery, Alabama. Breakfast and lunch is provided each day. It is imperative that you bring your passport, Form I-20, and immunization/vaccine form to orientation.
